Message from Dr. Christine Chambers: Congratulations to newly funded researchers in our community, let us know how we're doing, and celebrate CIHR's 25th anniversary

Congratulations to the awardees of the 2024 Early Career Researchers (ECRs) in Human Development, Child and Youth Health funding opportunity. This competition represents an important way we are delivering on our priority to capacity build and provide targeted support to facilitate successful career pathways within the IHDCYH research community.
Eighteen outstanding early career researchers were funded through the highly subscribed ECR competition. This cohort of researchers showcases the strength and breadth of research happening across all four CIHR pillars, contributing to better health outcomes for children, youth and their families. The 2025 ECR competition is now open with a registration deadline of November 18, 2025.
Don't miss your chance to let us know how we're doing
We want to hear from you about how we're doing in delivering on our strategic plan – please take our brief survey by September 15. Your feedback is critical to help us understand where our activities are making a difference and where the opportunities are to expand our impact over the next few years. Share the link to our survey with your networks.
Lastly, CIHR is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. This is a great opportunity for our community to highlight research impact stories in human development, child and youth health. We encourage you to review the submission guidelines and connect with CIHR to submit content showcasing the impact of your research.
Sincerely,
Christine
